EMBRACED, GROWING, and EMPOWERING
This page is specifically designated for resources for empowerment. I include below audio recordings, documentaries, Blogs, etc. that I have found incredibly helpful in healing and learning to accept myself and embark on my journey. I hope these are helpful. They are not affiliates of mine, I just want to be a helpful resource of healing and empowerment for you! In the future I plan to interview each of these people on the podcast, so stay tuned.
See below and click on the links in capital letters to find the resources:
- Brene Brown is also one of my all time favorite authors… I mean hello sisters, she wrote the Gifts of Imperfection! Right?! Anyway, She has a mini series on Netflix right now! It’s called THE CALL TO COURAGE and it’s freaking amazing people. She also has a podcast, a website with articles, a bunch of TedTalks on YouTube and several Audio Books, or Audio Talks, and lots and lots of delicious books for your thought world!
- I found this woman recently just in a book search on Amazon, which led me down a mini rabbit-trail learning a bit about her. She wrote a book called Dying to Be a Good Mom and she did a Ted Talk about this as well. You can find the Ted Talk HERE and HERE is a link to the book, which I have yet to read but based on what I have read, I bet will be right up my alley. This woman got stage four cancer and this snapped her into living her life for passion and priorities, not for all of the SHOULD’S. I love it already. She is inspiring.
- I found this amazing lady Kara Loewentheil who was an attorney and went to Harvard, then stopped her career to become a life coach to help people with their thought work. She’s very different from me, and I can appreciate how that helps me to grow. I think a lot of what she says about thoughts and thought work is absolutely incredible and I’m very grateful for her podcast and emails. Her podcast is called UNF*CK YOUR BRAIN.
- Listening to Kara lead me to learning about The Work By Byron Katie. She is amazing and doing work all over the world. Click HERE for Free Worksheets on her website to investigate thoughts.
- I also learned about Brooke Castillo through the work of Kara. She has really simplified the process of doing thought work. Her Work is Simple and freely described. I think you have to sign up for emails to get her description on her website but she also has “The Model” available and it’s incredibly simple and available online. HERE it is on Pintrest. HERE is her website.
- There is an Australian Actress, Comedian named CELESTE BARBER that I follow on Instagram and absolutely love. She posts pictures of herself on Instagram mimicking fancy celeb photos and just makes me so happy the way she brings empowerment and the joy of laughter together. She’s hilarious, and I’ve never even seen her comedy other than Instagram.
- There is yet another woman named Tiffany Jenkins that will make you laugh and love her instantaneously. She does videos under JUGGLING THE JENKINS, and you can follow her on Facebook or on her blog. She is just hilarious and makes fun of typical situations mom’s, wives, and women experience and I just really appreciate the comedy relief.
- A while back I was feeling like drinking was holding me back from what I wanted to do. I enjoyed social drinking but felt a deep desire for more and I just couldn’t figure out why and how. Annie Grace is an Author and Blogger that I found at that point in my Journey. I will be interviewing her at some point in the future but if this resonates with you at all, or you’re just intrigued; check out her BLOG PAGE or her ALCOHOL EXPERIMENT where she will walk you through gently and respectfully information about alcohol and help you decide where you want to be in that relationship. She’s incredibly gifted at connecting and empathizing while providing heavily researched information that is very helpful.
- I simply Love Hal Elrod and the changes that have taken place in my life because of starting the Magical Mornings. I can’t say enough about this guy. He has two books (second one officially available today) and he also does a podcast that I listen to every week now for the past month. He is a very empowering man with a very uplifting and inspiring story and ideas of how to reach your goals. You can check out his PODCAST HERE.
- Books are some of my favorite resources and I have a separate tab for my favorites… ones that have made a profound impact on my life.
Here are some Apps that I simply LOVE:
- This MOTIVATION App
- Zilliance PERSONAL COMPASS and other Apps.
- The CURABLE App for chronic pain. This app helps you get to the emotional root of chronic pain (not all pain has a physical manifestation but some does, and for many, much of their pain is rooted in emotional blockages).
- THE WORK App for work with Byron Katie’s book.
- INSIGHT TIMER app for meditation and contemplative prayer.
- MY WONDERFUL DAYS App for journaling, contemplative writing, processing and more. It’s a fabulous app I’ve had for years.
- The Take5 Prayer Journal App. I can’t find it right now so it’s not linked but it’s a great app.
- OMVANA App for meditation.
- The Hay House VISION BOARD App.
- AFFIRMATIONS & INSPIRATIONS App. I love this app and have also had this for a couple of years.
